Sometimes the words sting

John 16:13 "When He, the spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whenever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. "

To be honest, when the Spirit of truth comes and guides you into all truth, it is not pretty nor easy. Oh yes, the truth shall set you free, and it does once you stumble to get over yourself and let it fully sink in. But it shakes you to your core, to your soul, and rattles you.

Hebrews 4:12 says "For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

God is working on me. I am constant work in progress. I am learning one by one the things I need to change, the things I need to let go, to get closer to Him. It's a battle that wages on….
